ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The history of the Regina Board of Trade (now Chamber of Commerce) dates to the initial formation of the town back in the early 1880s with some of the earliest references being back in 1881. Fast forward to today and the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce essentially exists for the same reason:

ABOUT THE POSITION
This position reports to the CEO and is responsible for the development and execution of the RDCC Membership Strategy, which includes the development and implementation of recruitment, retention and engagement of members.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of the Director of Membership role is to monitor and manage RDCC relationships with its members, with the goal of recruiting new members, retaining current members and engaging both potential and current members.
The Director of Membership is responsible for monitoring the value and effectiveness of member benefits and developing and securing new benefits that help to recruit, retain and engage members. The role is also jointly responsible for expanding and update programming to maintain and attract members including small/medium sized enterprises.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Membership Recruitment
- Identifies new members and designs and implements a specific outreach strategy to secure new members and increase RDCC’s member base.
- Assesses/evaluates the value proposition of membership and works collaboratively and creatively with other members of the Team to enhance the value proposition.
- Works to identify and secure new member benefits, to increase the value of RDCC membership for members.
- Owner of the entire new member on boarding process
Membership Engagement and Retention
- Develop and implement membership engagement strategy, to increase RDCC member attraction and retention.
- Evaluates the recruitment results monthly; pivoting where required.
- Identifies and contacts business decision-makers to market the activities and benefits of
the RDCC.
- Contacts members on a regular basis to identify business challenges and opportunities.
- Informs the CEO of issues and concerns raised by the business community and/or of any significant changes in the contacts of key business members to ensure the CEO is aware of potential issues among members.
- Provides oversight and guidance to the Administration Assistant to ensure timely processing of membership invoices, collection of dues and other administrative functions including monthly reports on membership stats including recruitment, retention and engagement.
- Reviews and reports on Chambers Plan members and ensure all members on the plan have an up-to-date membership.
