Christine Tell

Born and raised in Regina, Christine graduated from Miller High School after which she went on to earn her psychiatric nursing diploma from Wascana Institute. The next step in Christine’s professional life was to graduate from the Saskatchewan Police College.
Christine served on the Saskatoon Police Service for three years before joining the Regina City Police. Christine served in the Regina Police Association and the Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers. In 2007, she was elected as President of the Regina Police Association and was the first woman in Canada to lead a major police association. Christine also rose through the ranks of the Regina City Police.
Christine was first elected MLA for Regina Wascana Plains in the November 2007 provincial election. She was re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2020.
Christine has served Saskatchewan in various roles including as Minister of Government Services, Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport, Minister responsible for Sask Gaming Corporation, and Minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission. She currently serves as Minister of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety.
For the past several years, along with fellow MLA Laura Ross, Christine has been hosting about 200 mentors and girls for an annual Self Esteem and Leadership event. Christine lives by the philosophy that “strong girls grow up to be strong women and strong women build strong communities”.

Brent Blakley

Brent Blakley is a recently retired teacher who spent 35 years working in the education system with a variety of grades and school models. He brings experience and adaptability to everything he does and is passionate about the potential for Saskatchewan and the need for change.
Born and raised in Regina, Brent completed his education degree at the University of Regina. He has continued to give back to the community as a volunteer football and basketball coach. Notably, with the Sheldon-Williams Spartans and Regina Riot.
Brent has been married for 34 years, has 4 adult children and is an avid woodworker, building custom furniture as a hobby.

Born in Manitoba, Dustin's career began as a journeyman welder in Alberta, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by working Canadians. His transition into the tech industry led him to Toronto, where he lived for over a decade, and his journey has also taken him to Vermont, Texas, New York, and California. These experiences have given him a broad perspective on tackling complicated problems and providing common sense solutions.
Currently serving as a councillor in the Resort Village of Kannata Valley, Dustin is dedicated to public service and community development. Bo Chen

Meet Bo Chen, an entrepreneur and devoted family man, alongside his wife Xiaoping Yang and their two children. With 12 years of experience as the proprietor of a travel agency, Bo has been instrumental in aiding newcomers in finding their footing in Regina.
Adding to his diverse portfolio, Bo is also the proud owner of a restaurant in Regina. His educational journey took him through high school in Toronto, followed by further studies at the University of Waterloo.

Jared Clarke is a biologist, and a father, and the Saskatchewan NDP MLA for Regina Walsh Acres. Prior to being elected in 2023, Jared taught elementary school with Regina Public Schools for eight years. He's seen firsthand the impacts of cuts to education and the lack of investment in our schools.
Jared is an avid birder, and has been involved with conservation efforts at Wascana Centre and across the province, and is the field trip coordinator with Nature Regina.

Gene Makowsky

Gene graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996 where he received his bachelor’s degree in education with distinction. He is best known for his 17 years playing offensive line with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Lineman twice, a CFL All-Star five times and helped lead the Riders to a Grey Cup in 2007.
In the offseason Gene worked as a substitute teacher in the Regina Public School System and always attended as many charity and community events as possible. In 2008, he was hired by the provincial government to work with minor football to help aspiring players at the grassroots level in Saskatchewan excel on the football field.
Gene was first elected to the legislature in 2011 and was re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial elections. He has served as Deputy Whip and as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport (Recreational Initiatives).
In Cabinet, he has proudly served Saskatchewan as Minister of Advanced Education, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport as well as Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority and Tourism Saskatchewan. He currently serves as Minister of Social Services.

Sally Housser

Sally Housser is a political commentator and public affairs professional. She has previously served as Deputy Director of Communications for the Manitoba government and has worked as a consultant for the renewable energy, oil and gas, health care and IT sectors. Sally has frequently appeared on CBC's Power and Politics and in print and radio nationwide.
Sally is an active volunteer having served as a board member with the Regina Chamber of Commerce and Regina YMCA. Her family are involved in the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians and the Poltava Ensemble.

My reason for running in/for Regina University Constituency:
I am just a regular hard-working guy, with strong beliefs in serving the public, just like all of my constituents.
I am a Husband, Father of 4 children and a small business owner here in Regina.
I have been involved in multiple industries over the past couple of decades, as well as volunteering my time with Habitat for Humanity and giving back to the public when and where I can.
I have a great understanding of what our constituency and constituents need moving forward.
I believe that we (the small person) are not having our voices heard or accounted for. I believe that Everyone’s voice counts, regardless of age, gender, political affiliation, religion or beliefs.
The current governments rampant spending is a clear statement to myself and other citizens of our province, that they need to be held accountable by a stronger voice than the current opposition. It is time for a True Conservative voice to keep them in check.

Khushdil Mehrok

Khushdil Mehrok (also known as Lucky) first imigrated to Toronto from Punjab, India with his family in 2006. Khushdil would soon call Indian Head, Saskatchewan home. His family began managing a local motel restaurant business, and would expand their restaurant presence to Regina, Saskatoon, and surrounding areas. Additionally, they launched their own distribution company to support similar businesses across Saskatchewan.
Khushdil is an active member of the Punjabi and Indian communities in Regina and has dedicated many years to the day-to-day operations of the Sikh Society of Regina. Khushdil has also been involved in several other initiatives around the city, including distributing free food to those in need.

Aleana is a small business owner, running Regina's only cheese store. She is a mom of two and is passionate about representing her constituents, entrepreneurs, and Saskatchewan's economy. Before being elected in 2020, she was a trustee with Regina Public School Division, and the Vice President of the Saskatchewan School Boards' Association.
Aleana has volunteered as Vice-President of Family Service Regina, with Regina's Downtown Business Improvement District and on the University of Regina Senate. She has previously worked in the public and energy sectors and loves camping, running, and her wild little family.

Laura Ross was born and raised on the family farm near Yorkton and attended the University of Regina where she obtained a B.A. in geography and sociology. For more than twenty years Laura was a licensed realtor in Regina specializing in residential properties. Prior to her success as a realtor, she operated her own catering company and farmed with her husband Terry.
Laura was first elected MLA for Regina Qu'Appelle Valley in the 2007 provincial election. She was re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2020.
Laura is Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport and Minister responsible for the Status of Women. Prior to this, she served as Minister of Government Services as well as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Health, responsible for retention and recruitment of nurses, long-term care and the reduction of surgical wait times. Laura has also been a member of the Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice Committee as well as the Provincial Capital Commission.
Laura is a founding member in the Saskatchewan Chapter of Equal Voice and serves as a role model and mentor to young women interested in professional and political lives. Laura was also instrumental in the development of Regina's first Habitat for Humanity Women's Build project in 2011 and she sat on a committee to spearhead the Habitat for Humanity Mountie House.
Laura currently resides in Regina with her husband Terry. They have one son.

Muhammad Fiaz was elected MLA for Regina Pasqua in the 2016 provincial election.
He was born and raised in Pakistan where he pursued his education, receiving a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Muhammad and his family immigrated to Toronto in 1995 where they established a thriving jewelry business, one that remains successful today.
In 2008, Muhammad chose to move to Saskatchewan – to what he fondly calls “the land of opportunity” – where he has worked as a road safety consultant for SGI.
Since moving to Saskatchewan, Muhammad has become an active member of his community. He volunteers his time with Humanity First and also coaches in the South Regina Community Soccer Program.
Muhammad is excited to give back to a community and province that welcomed him with open arms. He has served as a member of the Standing Committee on Human Services.

Born and raised in Regina, Justin has deep roots in our province and a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our communities. After the pandemic, they reunited and married, with Vicky and their daughter Marivick joining him in Regina this month, June 2024.

Rahul, a Territory Manager with the Parkland Corporation, moved to Canada from New Delhi to continue his education before making Saskatchewan his home. He has worked at the management level for several companies such as Coca-Cola, Shoppers Drug Mart and Home Depot.
Rahul obtained his MBA in Finance from Vancouver Island University, his MSc in International Business, as well as his Canadian Mutual Funds Certificate (CIFC).
He has been actively involved in local community programs. These range from being a food bank volunteer and donor, a highway cleaning volunteer, and sponsoring under privileged children with their education and related expenses.

Anthony Majore Is a Metis man who was born in Lebret, Saskatchewan. He and his family moved to Regina and he became a steelworker at Ipsco/Evraz. Retired now, Anthony still does shutdowns at the coop upgrader as well as odd jobs. He also volunteers in the community to help out.

Jaspreet immigrated to Canda with his family in 2005, and settled in Regina in 2011. He was previously employed in the construction industry and as a truck driver. Mander then established his own successful trucking business.
Community involvement is very important to Jaspreet, and he has supported many local charitable organizations like the local food bank and student mentorship programs as a volunteer. He currently resides in White City with his wife and their son.

Trent was elected as the MLA for Regina Rosemont in 2007 and re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2020. Trent has served as the Leader of the Official Opposition, Public Accounts Chair, and Critic for Finance, Education, Economy, Affordability, Agriculture and for our valued Crown Corporations. He has been voted the ‘Best Regina MLA’ in the Prairie Dog for eleven years running.
Trent was born and raised in northwest Regina. He studied Business Administration and earned an Education degree at the University of Regina. Before serving as a MLA, Trent served as a teacher and built and delivered highly successful programs for at-risk and vulnerable youth.

My name is Regina Ann Demyen. I was born and raised in and around southern Saskatchewan. I am an educational assistant, ECE Level 2, having graduated from SIAST. I cherish my family of four half-siblings and three step-siblings.
I am also the single mother of a 24-year-old son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a predetermined, rare life-threatening condition for which I was, from birth, the unknowing carrier. I am the owner/manager of my own daycare, operating for 15 years now. As a young adult, I put my energy into volunteering for the Kidney Foundation, and for many years I have been a fundraiser and volunteer for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, achieving their Mary Wickham Award in 2012.

Conway was first elected in 2020.
Meara is a lawyer, activist, and musician with deep roots in Saskatchewan. Throughout her career, she has fought for some of Canada’s most vulnerable. A public defender with Legal Aid, she was recently named one of Canadian Lawyer’s 25 Most Influential Lawyers of 2019 in recognition of her work fighting for Legal Aid funding and representing those who erected teepees at the Justice for Our Stolen Children camp to protest racism against Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan.
Meara is also a strong advocate for the Arts and has a Masters of Music from McGill University, where she won the National Music Competition. Motivated by a genuine interest to use the law to fight for fairness, she went on to earn a law degree at McGill University. Before returning to Saskatchewan, she worked in Toronto on many important constitutional cases.

In her role as a Food & Beverage Shift Manager at Casino Regina, Pamela managed a large team, ensured workplace safety, and facilitated employee development. She holds a Professional Leadership and Development Certification from the University of Regina, enhancing her skills in leadership, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.

Born in Pakistan, Riaz immigrated to Regina in 2013. Before coming to Canada, he studied Accounting Management at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan. He currently works with his brother at their family-owned pest control business.
Riaz lives with his wife and their 4 children in Coronation Park.

Noor Burki

Noor Burki is a small business owner, driving instructor, and father. He is a leader and volunteer in the community and teaches driving for schools and students throughout Regina. He is committed to building a brighter future for his children, your children, and everyone in Saskatchewan.
Burki was elected in the 2023 by-election for Regina Coronation Park. As an NDP MLA, Burki has been named Critic for Immigration.

Maria Krznar
Party: Saskatchewan Green Party
Maria grew up in Coronation Park, attending St. Philip and St. Peter, and then Archbishop MC O'Neill. She graduated from Scott Collegiate when her son was 18 months old. Through perseverance, Maria has continued toward her education goals. She is now going back to university, finishing what she started years ago in Education and Social Work.
Maria has two children she is very proud of. This is her main reason for running for MLA in the Green Party. She wants to make sure we have a province where our children can grow up in a sustainable economy.
Maria volunteers for RMRCA in the district where she has been residing for the past 22 years, and she has been a foster parent with Ranch Ehrlo in the Reunification Program and with the Ministry.
With a small break in the middle to go to school, Maria has been a Recreation Worker in Social Inclusion for the City of Regina over the past 16 years.
Maria’s exceptional range of experience has seen her working with adults with disabilities and mental illness in LGBTQ-sensitive and adaptive settings; she has done everything from Program Attendant to Program Coordinator, facilitating programs all around Regina.
She has worked as an Educational Assistant for Separate System PVSD, and now for Public System, for over 22 years.
Recently Maria started a 3rd job at Clare Parker.
Maria does this all as a single mother, always gaining more education keeping in sync with nature and staying protective of our environment. She often credits gardening and nature photography – and cooking and baking – with keeping her grounded.
