2026 Advocacy Priorities Survey: What Members Told Us

Posted by: Regina Chamber Admin - June 30, 2026

Last month, we asked members to share their priorities and help shape our advocacy agenda for the year ahead.

The results were clear.

Cost and taxation are the top concerns.
Taxation and fiscal policy and the overall cost of doing business were the two dominant priorities — the only areas where not a single respondent said they weren’t important. Members are feeling pressure from both sides: rising operating costs while customers have less to spend.

City Hall was front of mind.
Across multiple questions, members pointed to municipal spending, property tax increases, and a lack of fiscal accountability as direct barriers to doing business in Regina. The message was consistent.

Regina’s long-term competitiveness is also in focus.
Community vibrancy and investment, a strong workforce, and infrastructure that supports growth — the Chamber is actively engaged on all three.

Members want us vocal and specific.
Three quarters of respondents said taking public positions and engaging directly with elected officials are very important. Members want the Chamber to show up, speak clearly, and back it up with facts.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. This feedback is now directly informing our advocacy priorities for 2026.

We’ll continue to provide updates on how it translates into action.
