Regina’s Catalyst Committee is hoping its final report, which is to be presented to Executive Committee today, will prompt private investment for the proposed projects.
During a public presentation yesterday, the Catalyst Committee explained how the report was created. Estimated costs for the projects, which include a new library, aquatics centre and multi-purpose event centre, are included in the report.
Coun. Bob Hawkins and Tim Reid, President and CEO of REAL, presented the plan yesterday. Hawkins hopes the report will spur the private sector to become involved.
