The Regina Downtown Business Improvement District, in partnership with the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce and Regina Warehouse District, presented the first event in its City Building Speaker Series on Fri., Jan. 27.
The series will feature speakers with insight and experience into how cities can maintain and build vibrancy and prosperity. The subject is timely given that Regina is currently considering building five recreation and cultural-based facilities.
The keynote speaker for the opening event was Tim Tompkins, founder of Shared City Share Space. A placemaking expert, Tompkins spoke on the topic of making cities more prosperous, vibrant and equitable through public, private and civic sector collaboration.
