FROM THE JAMES SMITH CREE NATION
The Leadership of James Smith Cree Nation, including Chiefs and Council, have tasked Warriors of Hope with organizing a donation drive in Regina to assist with the difficult times that it is facing. We ask for your support, in any capacity, may we all come together as one.
Drop-off location for the donation drive is The Collective YQR, which is located 1168 Albert St. and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6p.m.
Items that have been requested:
For the children, our leaders of the future, we’d like to put a smile on their faces so we are asking for donations of toys, art and beading supplies, as well as books. I’m sure treats would not be turned away either!
For the entire community, many services, wakes, ceremonies, and feasts are taking place; paper plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery are in high demand. Additionally, collecting donations of perishable food items can be difficult and unsafe; therefore, monetary donations by cheque (which can be made out to James Smith Cree Nation) and gift cards to locations in the community (Loblaws, Co-op, Shell, or Husky) will be used to purchase food for the community during feasts and services, as well, to provide reimbursement for fuel to families needing to travel.
If you are able to contribute in any way possible, please contact:

All donations collected will be delivered to James Smith Cree Nation on Wednesday, September 21.
Thank you for your support during this time on behalf of the James Smith Cree Nation community.
