Businesses are finding that employees are dealing with social anxiety which impacts their work performance. There are ways for employers to boost the well-being of their employees but they must be careful when implementing new strategies for mental and physical well-being.
A recent survey indicated that as companies worked their way through the pandemic, there was a surge in mental ill health and anxiety compared to pre-pandemic years. The survey also suggested there was an increase in sickness absences and “presenteeism” (unproductive working).
