In the 2022-23 budget announcement on Tuesday, Finance Minister Donna Harpauer honoured John Hopkins, the longtime CEO of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce.

The Regina Soundstage, a state-of-the-art film and television production facility, will be renamed The John Hopkins Regina Soundstage.

“We are so proud of have this honour bestowed upon John,” said Tony Playter, the interim CEO of the Chamber. “It is a wonderful tribute to his legacy and his contributions to Regina and Saskatchewan.”
