THE CANADA DIGITAL ADOPTION PROGRAM OFF TO A SLOW START

Posted by: Regina Chamber Admin - May 3, 2023

The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) was created by the federal government in March 2022 to help small businesses upgrade their digital technology. However, in its first year the $4-billion program spent just three per cent of its budget on grants and loans.

CDAP has a number of components:

  • $2,400 microgrants for website creation
  • $15,000 grants to fund business planning
  • Loans up to $100,000 for technology upgrades
  • $7,300 wage subsidies to hire students

The Globe and Mail took a closer look at the program, delving into its’ strengths and weaknesses. To read the story, click HERE.
