The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) was created by the federal government in March 2022 to help small businesses upgrade their digital technology. However, in its first year the $4-billion program spent just three per cent of its budget on grants and loans.
CDAP has a number of components:
- $2,400 microgrants for website creation
- $15,000 grants to fund business planning
- Loans up to $100,000 for technology upgrades
- $7,300 wage subsidies to hire students
The Globe and Mail took a closer look at the program, delving into its’ strengths and weaknesses. To read the story, click HERE.
